30KA AC/DC HIGH PRECISION CURRENT TRANSFORMER, TYPE: STACC-HC

The STACC-HC Zero-flux measuring system is specially designed for high accuracy measuring of extremely high currents. It can measure continuous DC currents up to 30 kA and non-continuous currents even up to 60 kA. The linearity is always better than 10 ppm.

The system is equipped with many standard features such as automatic reset after overload and zero-current detection. Hitec Power Protection is famous for it’s high current Zero-flux measuring systems and has a long standing reputation of building measuring systems with an exceptionally high thermal and long term stability.

The Zero-fluxTM STACC systems are mainly used as control and/or measuring units in feed-back loops in high performance power supplies and amplifiers, as a secondary DC standard reference or as a testing device

30kA TOP PRECISION CURRENT TRANSFORMER, TYPE: TOPACC-HC

Just like the TOPACC, the TOPACC-HC is our top line precision current measuring system for high currents up to 30000 Amperes in both directions, based on the zero-flux principle. This system has also our famous burden resistor built at Hitec Power Protection for the excellent specifications.

6000A AC/DC HIGH PRECISION CURRENT TRANSFORMER TYPE: CURACC

This system is available for currents up to 6000 Ampere with a current output, resulting in a Zero-flux™ measuring system with the highest specifications to which the user can add an output circuitry.

The CURACC can be used as a control/measuring unit in a feed-back loop for high performance power supplies and amplifiers, or as current reference system.

Advantages for a current output compared to a voltage  output are:

  • The burden resistor can be installed at the place the signal is needed
  • Less limitations on cable lengths in respect to voltage losses
  • Output voltage across an external burden to be used directly to the feed of an ADC

6000A DC HIGH PRECISION CURRENT TRANSFORMER, TYPE: STACC

The STACC is a high precision current measuring system with voltage output for currents up to 6000 A. It is an economy version of our Zero-flux™ high-end product line designed for lower qualified applications than the highly stable TOPACC series and therefore uses no specially built components. It is however supplied with the same standard features that make our products so special.

The STACC is mainly used as a control/measuring unit in a feed-back loop in high performance power supplies and amplifiers or as a replacement for resistive shunts. Because of its special features and being bipolar, the STACC system is widely applied.

6000A TOP PRECISION CURRENT TRANSFORMER, TYPE: TOPACC

The TOPACC Zero-flux™ is our top line precision current measuring system based on the zero-flux principle. The TOPACC line exemplifies our profound knowledge of designing and building measuring systems for extremely stringent requirements. Hitec Power Protection has over 25 years of experience in doing so.

It is unique because of the excellent specifications even at high currents up to 6000 amperes in both directions. This system has a burden resistor built at Hitec Power Protection with a temperature coefficient of 0.7 ppm/ K between 15 and 45 degrees without any special measures controlling the temperature.

600A HIGH PRECISION CURRENT TRANSFORMER, TYPE: MAC PLUS

The compact MACC-plus is a high precision current measuring system based on the Zero-Flux principle to be used at currents up to 600A. This system has a current output with ratio of 1000 to 1.

For a voltage output, a burden/precision amplifier module is added. It is far more accurate than conventional measuring systems using shunts or Hall effect systems.

The bipolar MACC-plus is mainly used as current feed-back element in power supplies or as a replacement for resistive shunts
It is widely applied in nuclear research projects, High Energy Physics experiments, applied scientific research and medical applications.
