The average voltage supply from the UKs National Grid is often higher than the ideal operating voltage for most electrical equipment like lighting and motors. For example, a 230V linear appliance used on a 240V supply will take 4.3% more current and will consume almost 9% more electricity. Multiply that across all the appliances in your organisation and that soon adds up. Sites fitted with a voltage optimisation system often achieve reductions in the region of 10-20% for energy consumption, costs and carbon emissions! Voltage optimisation companies also use the product to monitor voltage levels pre and post optimisation. The EC-3V has an integral Phase Sequence/Rotation Checker.

Two sizes are available, the larger EC-3V and the smaller SL-3V, which is about a quarter of the size. The SL-3V has a reduced battery life of approximately 9 months, around 1/3 of the EC-3V (24 months). Note the EC-3V has native USB communications and has a phase sequence (rotation) checker as standard, the SL-3V has RS232 comms and no integral phase sequence checker.
